Vom 24. bis 26. April 2020 kommt die RoboCup German Open zum zehnten Mal nach Magdeburg. Allein für den internationalen Forscherwettbewerb RoboCup Major haben sich 48 Teams aus 15 Ländern angemeldet. Eine besonders hohe Steigerung gibt es beim Schülerwettbewerb RoboCup Junior, an dem bundesweit in dieser Saison 645 Teams teilnehmen. In acht Qualifikationsturnieren werden im Frühjahr die besten 180 RoboCup Junior Teams ausgewählt, die Ende April zum Finale nach Magdeburg reisen.

RoboCup Brazil regrets to inform that Prof. Gerhard Kraetzschmar passed away today. Prof. Gerhard served RoboCup Federation since its first years. He was RoboCup's Global Trustee, and he was responsible for RoboCup 2016, held in Germany, also acting as an essential partner in the process of organizing RoboCup 2014, held in Brazil. RoboCup Brasil, in mourning, pays its last tribute to Prof. Gerhard. May his family and friends find comfort in the great memories and in the legacy that he leaves to the robotics world community.

A RoboCup Brasil recebeu hoje com extremo pesar a notícia do falecimento do Prof. Gerhard Kraetzschmar. Gerhard atuou junto à RoboCup Federation desde os seus primeiros anos. Atuou como curador da RoboCup mundial, e foi responsável pela RoboCup 2016, realizada na Alemanha. Foi um importante parceiro no processo de realização da RoboCup 2014, realizada no Brasil. A RoboCup Brasil, em luto, presta sua última homenagem ao Prof. Gerhard. Que a sua família e amigos possam encontrar conforto nas memórias e no legado que ele deixa para a comunidade de robótica mundial.

Es war ein toller Tag! Vielen Dank an alle die zu unseren Spielen gekommen waren!

Yesterday we lost our game in the play-in round against
the team rUNSWift from Sydney with a high score of 0:10.
Our robots played well, but were slower and less dynamic
than their opponents from Australian team rUNSWift.
With their fast dribbling and long distance kicks rUNSWift
easily overcame our defenses.
We are still happy with the performance of our robots.
Apart of a couple technical issues,
our robots played well, and all crucial algorithms
worked as intended.
For the RoboCup in Sydney we will
have to focus on more reactive game-play and
team strategy.
